Two Podcasts-One Destiny
Two Podcasts One Destiny. Zach and Ken attempt to discuss Star Trek's Christmas movie: Generations when the Earl Grey crew of Lee, Amy, and Richard beam into Standard Orbit studios. This crossover podcast discusses the Star Trek crossover movie. Why did they have to kill Capt. Kirk, the Enterprise, and Captain Picard's family? Was a good villain and was the Nexus a good plot device? How did the Flagship of the Federation lose to an old Bird of Prey?
With two podcast crews representing their genres; we explore this controversial film with good humor and real passion. We hope you enjoy this approach and one we hope to employ in the future when TOS and TNG elements cross paths. Be sure to listen to the end as a hidden challenge is revealed and we find out if it was successful.

Until Star Trek: The Motion Picture, each Starfleet vessel has its own unique insignia patch on its uniforms...or did it? Zach and Ken discuss this interesting dynamic between these two men and the unpleasantness surrounding their relationship. We focus on the irony of how both individuals actually had a great positive impact on each other but jealousy and pettiness never allowed these two giants in Star Trek lore reconcile their relationship.
In this episode of Standard Orbit, hosts Ken Tripp and Zach Moore talk the Klingons' ever-changing appearance from Kor to T’Kuvma, if the franchise may have gone too far in explaining out-of-universe production aesthetics in-universe, and how the Klingons are forever tied to the Romulans.
