Paramount, Skydance, and Bad Robot have teased us with some glimpses of the next Star Trek film in the form of a trailer designed to run before Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Complaint generator … ENGAGE! Reaction has been mixed, and the negative voices have, as usual, been the loudest. But if you dig deeply into what we’ve been shown, you can find a number of very intriguing elements that hint at a story that’s more TOS than anything we’ve gotten so far. Of course, it doesn’t seem that way on the surface.
