The movie world lost a great talent last year when James Horner passed away unexpectedly. In addition to composing the scores for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, Horner wrote the music for such films as Braveheart, Apollo 13, and what many consider to be his masterpiece, Titanic. Last week, his final score was released for Antoine Fuqua's The Magnificent Seven.
In this episode of Stage Nine, Mike and John take a look at Horner's work on the film. We discuss the movie itself, Horner's music, and how the score came to be.
