Star Trek Titan Television Series Kickstarter Planned

The group behind the Star Trek Titan campaign is planning a Kickstarter to help fund an effort to show CBS that fans want a post-Nemesis TV series. To help push the initiative, Star Trek Legends has put together an incredible video combining moments from Star Trek films, including TOS, TNG, and the J.J. Abrams reboot.

The aim of the Kickstarter effort is to help finance promotions that will garner one million likes on Facebook—a display to the studio of strong fan support. Set after the events of Nemesis, the envisioned series would follow the missions of Captain William T. Riker aboard the the U.S.S. Titan.

Star Trek Renegades Launches 60-Day Kickstarter Campaign

Growing discontent with the lack of Star Trek on television has spurred the creators of Star Trek: Of Gods and Men on to their next project: Star Trek: Renegades.

The goal of the project is to produce a pilot episode that can be presented to CBS as the start of a possible online series.

The premise of Renegades is an action-packed exploration of the human psyche and the darker side of Starfleet. A huge cast of familiar faces from Star Trek have signed on, including Walter Koenig, Garret Wang, Robert Picardo, and Ethan Phillips. Tim Russ will direct the series.

To help fund the project, a Kickstarter campaign has been launched with the aim of raising $200,000 in 60 days. After just two days, more than 200 backers have already pushed the funding past $20,000. Those who donate will receive perks ranging from t-shirts, DVDs, and Blu-rays to walk-on roles and associate producer credit.

Star Trek Online Trailer as Kinetic Typography

A few weeks ago we shared with you a kinetic typography treatment of the bar fight scene from J.J. Abrams’s Star Trek. VideoSpaceFX Produces Main Title Sequence for Star Trek: Valkyrie Audio Series

VideoSpaceFX has created some beautiful Star Trek CGI over the past few years, including TOS- and TNG-era scenes plus the incredible recreation of the Klingon-V’ger battle from Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Now, in their latest work, the studio has created a main title sequence for the audio series Star Trek: Valkyrie.

The series follows the adventures of the USS Valkyrie NCC-2590, under the command of Captain Edward J. Stanfield, as they set out on a five-year mission to explore strange new worlds.
