Digital FanEdits Recuts “Where No Man Has Gone Before”
Star Trek fan Jon Witchell has begun a project that re-cuts the second TOS pilot “Where No Man Has Gone Before.” Combining footage from that episode with additional elements from “Court Martial” and “The Menagerie,” Witchell presents the struggle between Captain Kirk and Gary Mitchell as a flashback at Kirk’s trial and brings a new angle to a classic story.
Dayton Ward’s That Which Divides Set for Release
Fans of the Star Trek literary universe know Dayton Ward well. As author of many Trek novels—including parts of the popular Typhon Pact and Vanguard series—Ward is one of the key writers in the evolving post-television Star Trek universe. The latest installment of Ward Trek is the TOS novel That Which Divides, a throwback to the good old days of numbered-novel yesteryear and the original series itself.
Star Trek Facebook Timeline Covers
Now that Facebook is rolling out Timeline to everyone, it’s time to show your friends that you live in the 23rd—or 24th—century. Facebook now allows to add an image to the large upper portion of your profile page, and it’s the perfect platform to show your love of Star Trek. To help you do this we’ve created an assortment of covers that includes: Colors TOS; Colors TNG; an “Aliens” series; and “The Borg Collective.” All of our Facebook covers are original illustrations by Isaac Zamora, also known as tobuushi.

Janeway and Chakotay: “Everytime We Touch”
Many fans have long wished for a relationship between Janeway and Chakotay, and one of the most popular ways of expressing this is through music videos. YouTube User kathchak has posted an excellent cut of Janeway and Chakotay scenes set to Cascada’s “Everytime We Touch.” The selection of clips comes from all across the series, and when viewed in this way you’d swear that Janeway and Chakotay had something going on behind the scenes. Were we all victim to an enormous (and highly successful) cover-up by the Voyager writers?
