USS Enterprise Destroys the Death Star

Forget Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. The Millennium Falcon may have made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs, but its arrival at the Death Star was cutting it a bit too close. Kirk and Spock couldn’t risk letting the battle station become fully operational so they took matters into their own hands.

What exactly happened? Just watch this fantastic mashup by Ergo Pictures to find out. It’s Trek Wars! And remember: this takes place in an alternate timeline.

George Takei Becomes Broker of Star Peace

By now you’re certainly aware of the Star Trek vs. Star Wars “feud” between Captain Kirk and Princess Leia. Wait… that’s William Shatner and Carrie Fisher. At any rate, now another famous face has thrown their hat into the ring and—Oh My!—it’s none other than George Takei.

Takei takes a unique approach to mediation in this never-ending debate between our galaxy and one far, far away. Instead of simply defending his Enterprise crewmates from Fisher’s Rebel forces, he drags another popular franchise into the fray—Twilight.

Watch Takei’s video message of “peace” below and find who else he plans to deploy to settle the dispute.

William Shatner Weighs In on Star Trek vs. Star Wars

The original Captain Kirk, William Shatner, weighed in on one of geekdom’s most enduring battlefields during a recent interview with Picture Partners.

He said that while Star Trek had stories about humanity, Star Wars was just special effects—“ILM at its best.” He also resoundingly stated that Star Wars is derivative of Star Trek, and that under the direction of J.J. Abrams Star Trek is enjoying a resurgence on the big screen that now supersedes Star Wars.

Oh, and he also pointed out that the pretty girls on Star Trek were prettier that the pretty girls in Star Wars. Now that’s Captain Kirk for you.

Watch the interview below and here the words from Shatner himself.
