Deep Silver and doublesix are bringing a unique twist to the Star Trek universe later this year with the release of Star Trek: Who Wants To Be a Millionaire?
The game, which will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, is set on the bridge of a Constitution Class Starfleet ship and will feature 600 questions about The Original Series.
This latest special edition of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire comes on the heels of the South Park edition and offers a more familiar cast for Trekkies that includes Uhura, a Vulcan, a human cadet, and an Orion slave girl. For the sake of realism let’s pretend the Vulcan is Spock, the Orion slave girl is Vina, and the cadet is Wesley Crusher thrown back in time by one of his ill-advised science experiments.
As is the norm with Millionaire you’ll be able to use lifelines if you get stumped, including the 50:50, Ask the Audience, and Phone a Friend. If you plan to phone a friend we recommend that you play as Uhura.
There is one catch to all of this, however. The game will only be available in Europe. That may have something to do with the Federation President’s office being in Paris. We’re not sure.
But if you are in Europe or have access to the European Xbox Live Arcade or PSN watch for the game later in 2012.
One last question: As there is no money in the future, what exactly are you winning a million of? We hope it’s not Tribbles.
doublesix recommends that you watch the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Special Editions Facebook page for future announcements.
