"Delphie" Nominations Are In!
by Shanna Gilkeson
As Trek.fm reported last week, Star Trek: Enterprise fan community The Delphic Expanse is holding its first annual Delphic Expanse Awards—“Delphies” for short—in order to honor its members’ creative contributions to the fandom. This year nominations were accepted for fan fiction and fan art, and there is a possibility for expansion to include other types of fan works in the future.
Nominations closed at midnight, August 1, however there’s still time to get in on the voting. You must be a member of the community to vote. Registration is free, quick, and painless. Instructions for voting are invisible to guest visitors, so you must be logged in to vote. Simply click “Community” from the Expanse’s front page to get started.
The website, which caters to a variety of tastes, clearly labels all artwork and fiction. Information like ratings, summaries, and character relationships are included to help visitors find what they’re looking for.
The first round of voting for tiered categories runs until August 10. Round 2 will take place from August 11 through August 31. The final round will run from September 1 through September 10. Voting will remain open for untiered categories during the entire voting period. Lists of nominees can be found here.
Winners will be announced on the date of the site’s first anniversary, September 11.
