Holy Shatner! It's the Official Video for Bohemian Rhapsody

Cleopatra Records has released the first official video from William Shatner’s new album Seeking Major Tom, and it is the classic Queen joint “Bohemian Rhapsody.” We’ve been listening to Seeking Major Tom extensively here at and we have to say that this is probably the most overly dramatic Shatneresque track on the album. Of course this makes it the perfect choice for the first video.

As perfectly “Shat” as this rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody” is, it also reinforces the preconceived notions that people will have going into an album that contains another Shatner cover of “Rocket Man”—an album that is probably better than you’d expect. The video is a mix of Monty Python’s Flying Circus, the George Murdock/Laurence Luckinbill God from Star Trek V, and a liberal dash of shrooms for good measure.

Give it a watch for yourself and do the fandango.
